Editing template files

Recipe Hero comes with a built-in templating engine, so you can customise it your delight.

Included inside the plugin folder, is the templates directory (folder).

If you copy this entire folder to the root of your theme’s folder and then rename it to recipe-hero, the plugin will first look for files in your theme before loading the default template files.

This is extremely useful if you are developing a theme that has deep integration with Recipe Hero.

You don’t have to copy the entire folder. You could just create a recipe-hero folder in your theme’s root, and then copy the files you want to override from the plugin into that folder, just maintaining the levels (so if it’s a file originally inside archive, make sure you create an archive folder in theme’s recipe-hero folder too).

Please make sure you update these template files as they are updated within Recipe Hero (will be noted in changelog).
